SUFFOLK PUBLIC INTEREST LAW GROUP FELLOWSHIP
The Suffolk Public Interest Law Group (SPILG) Fellowship program provides funding for students working in otherwise unpaid summer internships with non-profit and government organizations. The purpose of the fellowship program is to support Suffolk Law students dedicated to public service while providing an invaluable service to non-profit and government organizations and the communities they serve. The number of fellowships awarded each year varies but fellowships are typically available for approximately 60 students each summer.

Please note that applying for a SPILG Fellowship is a two-part process:
- Students must apply for Federal Work-Study (FWS) in the law school’s Financial Aid Office. Applications are available on the first day of Spring Semester classes. Because FWS awards are distributed on a first come first served basis and funds are limited, you should apply for FWS as soon as possible.
- Students must apply for a SPILG Fellowship by March 1, 2013 by 10am (through Symplicity). Download the application here. Download the Identification Sheet for the application here.
Support the SPILG Fellowship Program
SPILG raises money throughout the year to support the Fellowship Program. SPILG’s biggest fundraiser of the year – and one of the highlights of Suffolk Law’s social calendar – is the SPILG Annual Auction. This year’s Silent Auction will be held in the law school’s Sargent Hall from February 26-28, 2013 (all day long each day). The Live Auction will be held in the Function Room of the law school on February 28, 2013, starting at 6pm.
For over a decade, the generous support of law firms, alumni, and others with strong connections to the law school and the public interest world, have made the SPILG Fellowship program a success. Help support students dedicated to public service by donating or bidding on items in the Silent or Live Auction. Donations of all kinds are accepted. To donate an item to this year’s Auction, please contact email@example.com. To participate in the Auction, stop by Suffolk Law during February 26-28 to bid on a great selection of items.
Additionally, SPILG supporters can make donations to SPILG through the Online Giving Form. Make sure to select “SPILG Scholarships Domestic” in the “Area of Giving” section. Click the button below to donate!
